St1 Biokraft is a joint venture between St1, HitecVision, and Aneo—combining deep industrial expertise and resources to accelerate the energy transition through biogas and biomethane. Our ambition is to become the leading integrated biogas player in the Nordics and a trusted partner for customers seeking scalable, low-carbon energy solutions. We cover the entire value chain—from feedstock sourcing to production, distribution, and end-user sales—and have set ambitious targets: 3 TWh of biomethane production and 6 TWh of biomethane sales by 2030.
To reach these goals, we are investing more than EUR 1 billion across the Nordics. Several major growth projects are underway, and our digital and operational footprint is expanding rapidly. In this context, cyber security and information security are not support functions—they are business-critical capabilities that enable safe growth, resilience, and trust.
Head of HR, St1 Biokraft, Stockholm - Join a leading green energy transition player
St1 Biokraft is on a strong growth journey across the Nordics. With around 200 employees today and ambitious targets ahead, we are taking the next step in strengthening how we lead, develop, and engage our organisation – ensuring our people agenda keeps pace with our business. We are therefore seeking a Head of HR who will build and further develop our HR function across all locations and business areas. This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role for someone who has grown from a strong HRBP foundation and is ready to take full ownership of people strategy, HR ways of working, and the employee experience. You will shape the culture agenda and employer brand, translating our ambitions into clear structures, modern tools and everyday leadership support that create real value for both employees and the business.
The position is based in Stockholm. You will lead a team of one direct report and report to our amazing Head of Communication, Marketing & HR.
Your Responsibilities
Build and Scale a Modern HR Platform
Develop and implement a people strategy aligned with St1 Biokraft’s business objectives and values.
Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and tools – driving efficiency and a strong employee experience.
Establish standardised ways of working across locations and business units, ensuring consistency while supporting local needs.
Shape Culture and Strengthen Employer Brand (in close partnership with Communication)
Continue to build on the newly launched company culture and drive culture work that supports collaboration, accountability, innovation, and sustainability.
Strengthen employer branding and internal communication touchpoints – ensuring our story, leadership behaviours, and employee experience reinforce one another.
Lead Talent, Performance, and Capability Building
Own workforce planning, talent development and acquisition strategy, and succession planning.
Oversee performance management, compensation, and benefits frameworks that drive engagement and business outcomes.
Act as a trusted adviser and sparring partner to the leadership team on all people-related matters.
Enable Data-Driven Decision Making and Compliance
Drive HR analytics and reporting to support better leadership decisions and prioritisation.
Ensure compliance with Swedish labour law and HR policies (cross-Nordic HR experience is a clear plus)

Who You Are
A strong HR foundation and readiness for broader ownership define the profile we’re looking for. With experience from environments where structure, processes and governance are well established, you know what effective HR looks like in practice—and you’re motivated by translating that into simple, reliable ways of working in a company that is scaling.
Comfortably moving between strategic planning and hands-on delivery, you help shape direction while also solving concrete issues together with managers when needed. Clear communication comes naturally, and you coach with credibility—supporting leaders in everyday people decisions. Your experience spans core HR areas such as recruitment, performance management, compensation, HR systems and analytics, and it is grounded in strong business acumen—connecting organisational goals to people priorities that strengthen performance and support sustainable growth.
Your career has typically progressed from an HR Business Partner role to broader responsibilities, with a proven track record of people leadership and measurable results. The role includes leading a small team, and your leadership style is focused and outcome-oriented: creating clarity, building competence, and following through. Most importantly, you want your work to matter—strengthening culture, enabling leaders, and building an employee experience that matches St1 Biokraft’s ambitions in the Nordic energy transition.
Strong knowledge of Swedish labour law is essential, as is experience collaborating with unions. Cross-Nordic exposure is a plus. Fluency in English and Swedish is required; Finnish and/or Norwegian is an advantage.
At your core, pragmatism, structure and a solution-oriented mindset define how you work. Balancing strategic perspective with hands-on execution, you coach leaders and collaborate closely with the leadership team to turn ambition into action. Direction, standards and scalable ways of working come naturally—strengthening performance and the employee experience, guided by data, insights and sound judgement.
