St1 Biokraft is a joint venture between St1, HitecVision, and Aneo, combining expertise and resources to drive innovation in the biogas industry. Our ambition is to become the leading integrated biogas player in the Nordics, playing a pivotal role in the energy transition. We cover the entire biogas value chain, from feedstock sourcing to distribution and end-user sales. We aim to achieve 3 TWh biomethane production and 6 TWh biomethane sales by 2030, with a focus on heavy transport, maritime, and industrial applications.

To support this ambitious expansion, we are committed to investing over EUR 1 billion in biogas production and distribution networks across the Nordics, with several major projects underway.

Senior Accountant, ST1 Biokraft, Stockholm

Do you want to be a key player in an entrepreneurial organization focused on the green transition? In this role, you will ensure high-quality accounting and financial reporting for our growing operations, supporting compliance, advising stakeholders, and contributing to the financial foundation of our green transition initiatives.

About the Role

As a Senior Accountant at St1 Biokraft, you will play a central role in our finance team. You will ensure high-quality accounting and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable regulations. With your deep knowledge and experience, you will act as an advisory resource within the team and across other parts of the organization.

In this role, you will:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and excise tax reporting requirements.
• Contribute to budget and forecasting processes and analyze outcomes against budgets.
• Implement and follow up on internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support and mentor colleagues while providing expert advice to various business units.
• Work closely with the Head of Accounting & Tax and contribute to the development of our accounting processes.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in finance or accounting, with at least 5-7 years of experience in qualified accounting roles.
• Solid knowledge of Swedish accounting standards (K3) and experience with complex financial statements and reporting.
• Proficiency in modern accounting systems (preferably Business Central) and a strong analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-driven approach.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
