Our ambition is to become the leading integrated biogas player in the Nordics, playing a pivotal role in the energy transition. We cover the entire biogas value chain, from feedstock sourcing to distribution and end-user sales. We aim to achieve 3 TWh biomethane production and 6 TWh biomethane sales by 2030, with a focus on heavy transport, maritime, and industrial applications.

To support this ambitious expansion, we are committed to investing over EUR 1 billion in biogas production and distribution networks across the Nordics, with several major projects underway.

Business Controller Upstream & JV - St1Biokraft AB

Are you a business-minded and analytical Business Controller with experience in the energy sector or another production related sector? Do you want to be part of a fast-growing company committed to a sustainable future? St1Biokraft is now looking for a driven Business Controller to join our Upstream team.

About the Role:

As Business Controller Upstream & JV at St1Biokraft, you will play a key role in supporting and driving financial follow-up and analysis within the Nordic Upstream business (Biogas production facilities), including Joint Ventures. You will collaborate closely with operational teams, management, and our partners to provide high-quality financial insights and decision support.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead financial follow-up and reporting for Upstream activities and Joint Ventures.

• Analyze financial results and identify business opportunities for improved profitability.

• Develop and implement financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions.

• Act as a business partner to operations and project teams, supporting strategic initiatives and decision-making.

• Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.

• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and routines.

Your office will be located at WTC, Stockholm, and you will report to the Head of Business Control & Planning, who aims to build the sharpest controller team on the market. At St1 Biokraft we offer a hybrid work environment.

Who are you?

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• You might be in the early stages of your Business Controller career, with a few years of experience in controlling, ideally from the energy sector or another production-related industry.

• A background in accounting or industrial engineering, providing a strong foundation for financial analysis and reporting.

• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and reporting.

• Experience working with Joint Ventures and international collaborations.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex analyses to various stakeholders.

• High proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems.

• Fluency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
