Our goal is to become the leading integrated Biomethane provider in the Nordics, playing a vital role in the energy transition. We encompass the entire value chain – from feedstock sourcing to distribution and end-user sales – with a strong emphasis on heavy transport, maritime, and industrial sectors.
To support this ambitious growth, we are investing over EUR 1 billion in Biomethane production and distribution infrastructure across the Nordics, with several large-scale projects already in progress.

At St1 Biokraft, we’re speeding up the shift to renewable energy across Northern Europe. Our next move? Expanding the reach of biomethan in European markets. To achieve this, we’re seeking a commercially driven and entrepreneurial sales professional who is ready to shape the market, not just participate in it.

About the Role
We are now seeking a commercially driven and strategically focused sales professional to lead the expansion of our biomethane business throughout Europe, while also supporting selected sales activities in the Nordics. This is a role with full responsibility, covering everything from strategic planning to practical execution.
You will identify and engage customers in the transport, industrial, maritime and energy sectors, shape our go-to-market strategy, negotiate and close deals, and establish a strong commercial foundation in each market. An understanding of regulation and pricing will be part of your daily work – in close collaboration with policy, risk, legal, and trading colleagues.
You will represent St1 Biokraft at conferences, industry events, and client meetings, actively monitoring market and policy developments to spot new opportunities. The role is part of one of our core strategic functions—the Value Chain organisation—and reports to the Head of Sales. It is based at our headquarters in the World Trade Center, Stockholm, with a European scope and involves regular business travel (approximately 1-2 days every other week).
You will:
- Identify and engage customers in the transport, industry, maritime and energy sectors
- Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy across target geographies
- Navigate commercial, regulatory and logistical aspects of the deals
- Negotiate and close contracts – from first contact to final signature
- Represent St1 Biokraft at industry events, conferences and meetings
- Collaborate closely with our policy, trading, risk and legal teams
- Monitor market dynamics, policy developments and pricing structures
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone with at least three years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in sectors such as energy, cleantech, trading, or biomethane. You are familiar with managing complex, long-cycle sales processes and understand the broader context – from supply chain dynamics to regulatory frameworks and pricing strategies. Fluency in English and Swedish is essential. German is an advantage.
You are proactive, organised, and entrepreneurial by nature. Driven by a strong sense of ownership, this role requires an individual who converts ideas into tangible results and excels at building from the ground up. Your motivation comes from delivering results that create long-term value for both the business and the planet. Success in the role also depends on the ability to proactively monitor regulatory developments and conduct structured market analysis to identify emerging opportunities across the European energy sector.
