Background

Alfa Laval is currently on a digital transformation journey. As part of this transformation we are creating a modern state of the art analytics platform that transforms our data into actionable insights. We therefore need to expand our team working with business intelligence and analytics solutions with a Data Engineer.

About the job

As a Data Engineer you will work from source system to visualization, using the latest techniques in Microsoft Azure. You will work close to the business defining requirements, design, develop, configure, test and maintain analytics solutions within Alfa Laval. You ensure that solutions meet the needs and are evolved over time. We are applying the scaled agile framework (SAFe) to structure our deliveries.

As part of the job, you keep yourself updated within the world of analytics. Together with your colleagues, you participate in evaluations of new tools and technology. 

What you know

To succeed you have:

• Working experience as a Data Engineer/Business Intelligence developer.
• Experience of developing solutions on the Azure Analytics platform (e.g. Data Factory, ADLS, Delta Lake, Databricks andSynapse).
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse concepts, structures, solutions and environments.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence development methods and patterns such as Delta Lake and Data Vault.
