European Sales Director, Borg Warner, Landskrona, Sweden

As our current European Sales Director moves on to new challenges, we are looking for his replacement.

The European Sales Director, with a sales force of around 20, will open up new business opportunities for our global customers within e-mobility and new technologies. With your strong leadership capabilities, we expect you to mobilize and strengthen your team with a clear strategic plan on how to grow whilst being customer-centric, develop a business plan linked to product strategy, and implement it in all stages. You will be part of our management team located in Sweden and report directly to our General Manager of Europe and dedicated to the Global Head of Sales.


We are looking for someone who thrives in having tremendous amounts of day-to-day responsibilities on their shoulders while at the same time planning long-term strategy and processes. As mentioned before, not only is there a paradigm shift in the industry, but Borg Warner is revolutionizing our sales processes into one where the customers’ needs and voice are brought into the organization, driving the products themselves rather than the other way around. 

 For this reason, it’s imperative that you are very business oriented and have extensive experience from within the automotive industry at a senior level. You need to have the mind of an automotive executive because that is exactly who your sales strategies will be targeting. Further, you must have the wherewithal to know all the details of your department at all times and confident enough to report bad news to your superiors. 

 You will also be working closely with product managers and need to be at the very forefront of all new technologies that are emerging in the industry. This will help you learn about what customers not only want now, but what they will require in the near and far future, thereby affecting our own product development. 

We prefer candidates who have experience with German business culture, have a technical background, and comfortable managing within a very large matrix organization.
